Warranty Policy

At Gutter Rock, we stand behind every job we do. If something we installed isn’t working the way it should, we’ll come back and make it right.

Our Coverage

New installations: 5-year workmanship and materials warranty
This covers new seamless gutters, downspouts and gutter guard installed by Gutter Rock.

Repairs and service work: 1-year workmanship warranty
This covers repairs, resealing, downspout replacements and other service work done by Gutter Rock.

Your coverage starts on the date the work is completed.

What’s Covered

If there’s a defect in our workmanship or in the materials we installed, such as leaking seams, loose hangers, or a gutter or downspout coming apart, we’ll repair it at no charge. We’ll leave the system working properly.

What’s Not Covered

• Damage from extreme weather, such as hail, high winds, heavy snow or ice storms, unless the damage was caused by improper installation.
• Damage from impact, such as falling branches, ladders, vehicles or animals.
• Problems caused by the condition of the house or roof, including ice dams, roof leaks, rotten fascia or structural movement.
• Indirect or consequential damage, such as interior water damage, landscaping or foundation damage.
• Cosmetic changes, such as normal fading, scratches or dents.
• Drainage beyond the end of the downspout or extension, including grading, yards and neighbouring properties.
• Problems caused by lack of maintenance. Gutters should be cleaned twice a year, in spring and late fall.
• Work done by others. If someone else modifies, repairs or moves our work, the warranty no longer applies to that part.

How to Make a Claim

1. Email us at [email protected] with your name, address, a short description and photos, if possible.
2. We’ll reply within 2 business days.
3. We’ll inspect within 10 business days, weather permitting. For safety, we don’t work on ladders in unsafe weather conditions.

Business hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Conditions

• Please contact us first. We’re not responsible for repairs made by others before we’ve had a chance to inspect.
• Issues should be reported in writing within 30 days of noticing them.
• Gutter Rock decides the best repair method. Repaired parts are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
• The warranty is valid once the project has been paid in full.
• The warranty can be transferred once to a new homeowner, with written notice to us within 30 days of the sale.

Limitation

Our warranty covers the repair of our work, up to the amount paid for the project. This warranty doesn’t limit any rights you have under Alberta consumer protection law.

Your Warranty Certificate

All projects completed by Gutter Rock are covered by our warranty from the date of completion. A written warranty certificate for your project is available on request. Just email us at [email protected].
